Applications of a Factorisation Theorem for Ninth-Order Aberration Optics

چکیده
We describe the results and objectives of a research line to develop Lie-algebraic and grouptheoretic methods for the study of optics with aberration . We have applied REDUCE programming to obtain the phase-space transformation due to the refracting interface between two media, using a recent result on factorisation into a simpler "root" transformation. The latter is given by a pair of implicit equations .

Synthesis of TiO2-ZnO-ZrO2 Nanocomposites for Nonlinear Optics Applications
A sol-gel technique under ultrasonic irradiation was applied to synthesize ZrO2/TiO2/ZnOnanocomposites. X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed the successful synthesis of nanocomposites. The strain and crystalline size values of ZrO2/TiO2/ZnO nanocomposites are estimated to be 9.98×10-4 and 17.66 nm, respectively. The linear absorption coefficient of ZrO2/TiO2/ZnO nanocomposites was measure...
متن کاملSpherical aberration in spatial and temporal transforming lenses of femtosecond laser pulses.
We study the influence of third-order spherical aberration on the group velocity dispersion and on the propagation time delay of a plane pulse that is focused by a thin lens. Applications in refractive-diffractive propagation time delay compensation systems and in Gaussian temporal-shaped pulses are analyzed.
متن کاملOn intermediate value theorem in ordered Banach spaces for noncompact and discontinuous mappings
In this paper, a vector version of the intermediate value theorem is established. The main theorem of this article can be considered as an improvement of the main results have been appeared in [textit{On fixed point theorems for monotone increasing vector valued mappings via scalarizing}, Positivity, 19 (2) (2015) 333-340] with containing the uniqueness, convergent of each iteration to the fixe...
متن کاملTwo-mirror telescope design with third-order coma insensitive to decenter misalignment.
Misalignments always occur in real optical systems. These misalignments do not generate new aberration forms, but they change the aberration field dependence. Two-mirror telescopes have been used in several applications. We analyze a two-mirror telescope configuration that has negligible sensitivity to decenter misalignments. By applying the wave aberration theory for plane-symmetric optical sy...
متن کاملLow-order adaptive deformable mirror.
We report the main parameters of a nine-electrode bimorph piezoelectric adaptive mirror designed to correct low-order aberrations. We describe measurements of the control coefficients for defocus, astigmatism, pure coma, and spherical aberration of this mirror and the temperature stability of its profile. The performance of a simple adaptive optical system for imaging through laboratory-generat...
